Born in Germany and raised in Austria, Paula Peters is a Vienna-based multidisciplinary artist working across photography, textile, and object-based practices. Their early education in sculpture and restoration shaped a strong interest in materiality, craft, and handwork. After working as a photographer and gaining experience in stage design at an opera house, they moved to Vienna in 2018 to study artistic photography, where photography began to be explored as a conceptual medium alongside experiments with plant-based materials.

An interest in ecological relationships led to the study of biology with a focus on ecology in 2019. Since 2023, Paula Peters has been studying art education at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, where textile processes increasingly inform the practice. Their work engages with nature, light, the body, craft traditions, and ecological and social questions. Works have been presented at OstLicht, Parallel Vienna, PhotoBook Market Vienna, and Sieb & Trieb at Odeon Theater.
